Remote Product Compliance Associate

In this remote Product Compliance Coordinator role you will be providing support to ensure that our product range complies with legal requirements in the markets where a RS Legal Entity exists. You will understand Product Compliance requirements in the markets that we operate in and recognising the potential impact from non-compliance.


Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will be a part of an organization that promotes personal development, growth, and career progression and who will provide you with the tools and training you need to excel in the industry.


This role will involve remote working from home with the occasional requirement to visit our Corby Office.


What you will enjoy doing to be successful in this role

  • To provide an effective supplier liaison to discuss and source compliance related information and documentation in multiple languages for markets served by RS.
  • Liaising with the Category Teams and local Product Managers concerning Product Compliance requirements for specific areas of responsibility.
  • Sourcing, loading and maintaining mandatory compliance related documentation to support compliant sale of the products in the intended markets.
  • To support the SDS Annual Review process.
  • Maintaining records of information retrieved from suppliers to ensure the ongoing compliance of the RS offer in specific markets.
  • Sourcing information that will be used to compile and review compliance dossiers prior to submission to regulatory bodies or our third-party Compliance partners, for example as part of Product Registrations and Poison Centre Notifications.
  • Assist in identifying the impact of existing and emerging legislation that will affect specific product ranges and markets.


What you will need to be successful in this position:

  • Able to communicate confidently and effectively with various stakeholder groups in the business and with external vendors and agencies, both in writing and verbally; a high standard of written English is essential.
  • Ability to build relationships and work with Stakeholders both across the business and externally.
  • Ability to work with others across markets, different cultures and time zones.
  • Ability to prioritize and take a risk-based approach.
  • Ability to distil large amounts of information and present it back in a clear way.
  • Demonstrate the ability to challenge, identify risks and issues, and facilitate best practice.
  • Knowledge of how current Global processes and systems impact - both positively and negatively - the customer experience.
  • Personal resilience, confidence, and willingness to challenge on all areas of the business, on management of compliance risks and processes.
  • Passionate about attention to detail.
  • Strong desire to learn and develop new skills and experience.
  • A high level of computer literacy is essential along with experience of using Microsoft Office packages.
  • An appreciation of Compliance will be required for this role.
