Allied Electronics & Automation is seeking a digital commerce expert that will be responsible for developing and implementing merchandising strategies for our private label brand, RS Pro, to optimize both the customer experience as well as business results. Reporting to the Manager of Digital Product Content, the Web Merchandiser will work closely with key cross-functional stakeholders on the RS Pro Brand, Marketing and Digital Experience teams to drive an increase in conversion and sales. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver, effective communicator, and has a demonstrated history of developing exceptional site merchandising programs through a balanced creative and data driven eye. This position is an individual contributor without direct reports currently.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of merchandising content aimed at converting RS Pro prospects to customers, as well as nurturing and growing existing customers.
  • Oversee the daily management of RS Pro site content for the homepage, manufacturers page, category pages, site banners, landing pages and internal linking.
  • Analyze site search and SEO data to uncover opportunities to showcase RS Pro products more prevalently.
  • Build test and learn plans for new merchandising strategies to improve the digital experience, value, and performance.
  • Manage calendar and prioritization of RS Pro site updates to ensure timing aligns with business needs and key stakeholder’s deliverable capacity.
  • Leverage web analytics to understand interaction with site content and conversion funnel.
  • Monitor KPI’s and provide weekly, monthly & quarterly updates to all partners.
  • Support strategic marketing programs, bringing specialized knowledge and best practices to the team to identify and develop solutions.
  • Partner with RS Pro Product Content Lead on cross-category storytelling and landing page optimization. Coordinate timing and workflow of product marketing content.
  • Consistently review the site for quality assurance on all RS Pro merchandised pages. Ensure that the pages are visually appealing and easy to navigate.
  • Continually seek out new opportunities to drive sales and site functionality.


Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years managing website content and online merchandising in an eCommerce environment.
  • Experience with web analytics programs, such as Google Analytics, and a deep understanding of customer behavior metrics.
  • Knowledge and understanding of SEO and Digital Marketing tactics.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to disseminate information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized and able to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Solutions-oriented with a proven track record of taking ownership, accountability and driving results.
  • Team player with an ability to balance asks and needs across various stakeholders.\
