Location: We’re flexible on location within the UK, but you’ll need to visit the London office around 1-2 days per week

Summary of the role

In our competitive set we are digitally well positioned, but we need to stay ahead in order to remain as leaders. This is where this individual comes in. You’ll have accountability for leading, activating and developing our long-term Performance Marketing strategy across EMEA and APAC, and will collaborate with the Americas.

 

You will have responsibility for improving the returns on our paid digital advertising, organic search, programmatic display advertising, paid social activities, and also using Marketing Technology (MarTech) to drive increased profitability for the group. You will achieve all this by taking a strategic approach and motivating a team of 20-30 people.

 

We are looking for someone that is always looking for continuous improvement, who doesn’t sit still and wait for things to happen, but challenges and pushes for more significant returns on investment all the time, whilst motivating the team around them.

 

What you will do

  • Develop, lead and activate our strategy for performance marketing.
  • Take ownership for, and get the best return on investment possible, from a multi-million-pound budget covering paid, SEO and operating costs.
  • Accountability for the performance of our paid media channels (Paid Search, Display, Paid Social and Affiliates).
  • Develop strategies that will attract, nurture and retain the highest value customers through Paid Social, SEO, Display and Affiliates as part of Customer Lifecycle Management.
  • Source and demonstrate efficiency of new technology capabilities.
  • Take full ownership of the SEO future roadmap and strategy across our business as well as leading the delivery of improvements alongside cross functional teams.
  • Lead commercially focused forums and take a data driven approach to drive consistent revenue growth
  • Own and nurture relationships with our key partners, technology and software providers.
  • Be a trusted partner within RS Components, influencing key senior colleagues and ensuring they receive the reporting and business insights they require. The commercial insight team will support with insight and analysis.

 

What you will bring

  • Experience of leading performance marketing with the relevant and demonstrable technical skills.
  • Accomplished, successful leader with proven experience of nurturing and developing robust teams.
  • Able to empower and encourage both your own direct team and the broader organisation, galvanising them against a clear vision and purpose.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organisation and manage multiple views and opinions.
  • Excellent collaboration skills across European and international markets.
