The Role

 

The UX Design Manager plays a critical role in enabling us to deliver a world class ecommerce experience to over 1 million customers around the globe.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Managing a team of talented UX Design professionals, helping to support, guide and build out our UX design practice.
  • Working alongside the UX Research Manager you’ll help to prioritise and coordinate work and to enable effective Design & Research collaboration with the rest of the business.
  • Working on a mix of complex design challenges along with helping to develop our approach to optimising and refining existing experiences.
  • Applying your experience in developing UX Design teams. Supporting them to achieve their goals through mentoring and guidance as well as working with them to identify training areas for us to invest in.
  • Working with the team to ensure the development and utilisation of our design system as well as helping to develop and mature our approach to optimising experiences through continuous product discovery.
  • Helping develop strong working relationships with the product and engineering teams to ensure work is delivered on time and to a high standard.


What You’ll need to succeed:

Essential:

  • A deep understanding of UX design. With a proven track record of leading a UX Design team, producing high quality deliverables and finding solutions to design problems.
  • Applying a user centred design approach based upon customer insights.
  • Application of relevant tools, craft, and design process facilitation.
  • Designing for Mobile first and responsive interfaces.
  • Coordinating projects as well as enabling others to run them.
  • Examples of continually developing yourself and your team.
  • Working knowledge of the creation and application of design systems.


Desirable:
Working knowledge of the practice of Continuous Product Discovery.
