Vice President of Supply Chain, Best Practice & Innovation

 

Location

We’re open to this role being based in any of the following locations:

  • UK (London or Corby)
  • France (Beauvais)
  • Germany (Bad Hersfeld or Frankfurt)

 

This is a global role and there will be some travel across the distribution centres in these three countries, as well as across the Americas and APAC on occasion. The role will be ‘hybrid’ involving a mixture of office and home-based working.

 

About the role

Reporting into the President of Global Supply Chain, this individual is responsible for developing and driving best practice across Supply Chain and the wider organisation. Developing, implementing and embedding elite, end-to-end processes for our global supply chain operations, to support the next phase of the organisation’s growth. You’ll do this by introducing new ways of working, changing attitudes and driving innovation through the business at pace.

 

What you will do

 

  • Operational efficiency and technology - Find opportunities and implement solutions. You will have a high focus on quality across the operation and will lead on enhancing our warehouse management systems and related technology
  • Best in class process ownership - Develop, implement and embed elite end to end processes, and develop core supply chain processes globally
  • Sales and operations planning process - Own, create and lead cross functional sales and operations planning process
  • Own lean continuous improvement - Champion lean six sigma across supply chain – set the tone, direction and pace. Lead lean strategies, develop initiatives, monitor and report on progress
  • Drive service improvement working across supply chain and cross functionally to improve OTTP, on time delivery, in stock, product availability - Define metrics, process and systems, balancing service, cost and inventory. Alongside this, you will lead our “deliver to promise” project including SAP ATP module, design of business processes and implementation of new ways of working
  • Create and maintain global Distribution Centre (DC) network location strategy - Work cross functionally to understand future strategic direction, functional strategies and commercial plans from the regional teams
  • Bring an external view on best practices and supply chain innovation - Provide input into supply chain strategy, bring new ideas, thinking and ways of working. Develop Value Added Services for our customers, and initiatives that improve customer experience
  • Drive a transformational change, contributing to a high-performance team and building a high-performance culture.  Champion servant leadership, engagement and communication

 

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrable experience of providing international leadership in a supply chain environment
  • Wide cross-functional experience within DC, project management, negotiations, operations, demand management, sales & ops planning, inventory and continuous improvement
  • Experience and knowledge of order management and warehouse systems
  • Experience of developing business strategy and providing direction to deliver a best-in-class performance
  • Senior management level experience in handling business critical activities and influencing others
  • High degree of collaboration across a global organisation, and at all levels
  • Awareness of cultural environments and ability to adapt approach accordingly
  • Track record of innovation
  • Excellent communication skills, leading and engaging large teams through change
