  1. Job Purpose


An active member of the APAC commercial team responsible for managing PR and brand activities as well as internal communications and leading the Corporate Social Responsibility agenda, to enable achievement of business vision, plans and targets. Driving one Identity, one Culture and the acceleration of performance through amazing matrix partnerships and key stakeholder management.


  1. Key Accountabilities


  • Work closely with the marketing and PSM teams to build and drive a PR and brand plan that assists in driving the commercial agenda of the region.


  • Optimise PR activities and budget to best position RS across APAC as a leading digital distributor.


  • Work closely with the APAC Leadership team to agree business priorities for internal communications and create a mechanism to achieve sub region consistency where there is benefit to do so.


  • Execute Communications strategy and plan.


  • Work in partnership with key stakeholders to enable effective execution of APAC internal communications plan. Ensuring internal and external messages and communications across the APAC region are fully aligned and coordinated.


  • Align with the APAC People Team to ensure Group/Region activities are communicated effectively and in a relevant and timely way across the region.


  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure a good working relationship and the alignment of internal communication activity resulting in consistent messaging.


  • Develop and implement an effective internal communications messaging framework that allows for a consistent communications approach across the region while giving flexibility at sub-region and market level to deploy in an appropriate way, taking into consideration culture, language and local activities.


  • Working closely with key internal stakeholders to enable the right culture to accelerate performance and deliver our commercial priorities.


  • Contribute to developing ways of working through on and offline communications activities, leadership communications and the physical environment.


  • Drive the Corporate Social Responsibility agenda across APAC, ensuring it becomes embedded across the APAC sub-regions.  Leading on company charity events and activities.


  • Support the employee engagement agenda, enabling maximum performance and contribution through consistent and clear messaging, management and facilitation of employee involvement activities and events. 


  • Ensure communications are aligned with commercially led and performance led business activities, eg, Sales, Customer Service, Technical, Product and Supply.


  • Use various communication methods to drive improved quality and effectiveness and promote best practice throughout the business.  Supporting leaders and managers to play their part in delivering good communications.


  • Develop effective communication evaluation methodology, using results and feedback to inform future internal communications strategy for APAC.


  1. Scope of the Role


This role supports APAC to build and drive a brand and PR strategy as well as implement its strategic plans through effective internal communication, engagement, corporate social responsibility, and change initiatives. 



  • Degree in marketing, communications, general business required.
  • 3 or more year(s) of relevant experience in a technology organization or brand marketing
  • Must possess:

    • Drive for results - has focus on the bottom line
    • Strong attention to detailPrevious experience of working in APAC role
  • Strong business analytical skills.
  • Strong business and strategic acumen
  • Solid understanding of the role that visual expression, messaging, and consumer experience have on brand image and its business impact.
  • Understanding of latest communications and engagement industry trends and best practice
  • Understanding of opportunities presented by social media and new technologies
  • Strong interpersonal and customer/client service skills; diplomatic, collaborative, and responsive.
  • Superior project management skills and strengths in managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to set priorities and be flexible in changing environments.
  • Proficient in English (Spoken and Written)
