Reporting to the Head of Marketing Italy, the successful candidate will manage all internal and external communications, PR, Social Media and trade events for their local market. Working cross functionally and with part of the Group Comms team to communicate with all our audiences to create advocacy for RS.


What you will enjoy doing to be successful in this role 


  • Being responsible for all local market internal and external communications, PR, Media Relations, social media and trade events
  • Maintaining a rolling plan of communications through internal and external channels that drives awareness, reputation and equity for RS in the local market
  • Delivering local market Social Media, with a focus on LinkedIn, monitoring and reporting their performances
  • Delivering local market ESG communications
  • Working closely with Group Communications team on best practise delivery and feeding in local communications stories for global newsroom use
  • Nurturing relationships with key industry associations
  • Successfully delivering company events
  • Producing valuable and engaging content for our channels that attracts and converts our target groups
  • Building strategic relationships and partnering with key industry players, agencies and vendors
  • Preparing and monitoring the marketing communication budget on a quarterly and annual basis and allocate funds wisely
  • Overseeing and approving communication material
  • Measuring and reporting on the performance of communication initiatives, gaining insight and assessing against goals
  • Analysing consumer behaviour and adjusting communication activities accordingly
  • Managing relationships, SOW and delivery of relevant external agencies


What you will bring to be successful in this role


  • Experience in a multi-national matrix organisation marketing community
  • Broad communication expertise across Social, Comms, PR, Media Relations, community management.
  • Experience with a variety of organic and paid channels like content creation, content curation, event management, publicity, social media,copywriting
  • Experience in B2B or retail
  • Commercial acumen, digital mindset and background
  • Knowledge of the creative development process
  • Ability to coordinate and manage directly marketing agencies
  • Experience in internal and external comms and in organising events
  • Numerical literacy, being comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets
  • A sense of creativity, aesthetics and a love for great copy and communication
  • Knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in marketing communication
  • Cross functional team leadership
