Sales Executive, Key Account Management, Taiwan

This role can be based in 台南 or 高雄.

  1. Job Purpose

Responsibility for optimising sales income from all accounts within a specified “Account Portfolio”, an RS Account (Field Sales) Manager strives to become the first point of contact for a customer to address all their purchasing requirements.  Primary focus is on building effective relationships within account portfolio of high opportunity accounts to gain a clear understanding of current and future needs and drive significant incremental sales.  There is also a need to identify and support other opportunities for growth in the territory in conjunction with the wider sales and marketing teams.

  1. Key Accountabilities
  1. Deliver the Territory Sales Plan in conjunction with local and national strategies while exceeding targets within budget.
  2. Work with Internal Sales Executive to drive sales initiative
  3. Customer qualification; to identify sales opportunities within Portfolio, ensuring that the largest opportunities for growth are prioritised accordingly
  4. Sales Account Plan; to create a specific plan of action for managing Portfolio customers that is maintained on a quarterly basis, relating to the local business strategy
  5. Quotations and discount investment; demonstrate strong commercial awareness, ensuring that sales targets and business needs are aligned with customer expectations
  6. Use of initiative to identify and develop opportunities with companies not currently on the database
  7. Contribute to a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement through regular one-to-ones, team meetings and ad hoc feedback
  8. Develop an internal and external network of business partners, fostering good team work within a best practice environment.
  1. Scope of the Role

 

  • This is an individual contributor and reporting to Sales Manager – Taiwan on sales and local market forces.
  • Day-to-day management of assign territory and accounts.

Other Internal Contacts
  • Frequent liaison and communication with Customer Services, Technical Support and Finance to align on local customer needs and resolve customer enquiries.
  • Frequent communication with Regional Marketing and Product Marketing teams regarding upcoming campaigns and product launches.
  • Frequent communications with Sales Capability Manager, PLM to identify support required for business success.
External Contacts
  • Regular contact with Portfolio Account customers to support the sales effort and be aware of customer needs and business forecast
  • Contact with regional commercial bodies as necessary to capture local market data

  • Travel required as per client or internal business requirements in Southern Taiwan

 

  1. Person Specification

 

Essential

  • To take ownership and exceed sales targets through the local implementation of the Country Sales Plan.
  • Use financial and customer data to analyse and plan effective territory coverage to exceed territory sales/growth targets
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports on sales and KPM achievement
  • To prepare, plan and run effective conferences and customer visits to deliver and monitor the company and regional objectives
  • Ensure customer data and segmentation for the territory is managed and maintained to enable accurate analysis of trends and KPMs, and to maximize Marketing campaign outcomes.
  • Best practice sales methods and the RS offer to drive high performance
  • To work with internal departments to leverage the full RS value to support our Customers

Desirable

  • Graduate or equivalent preferred, with an Engineering or business/Management qualification
  • Experience of Account Management and proven track record in Sales, preferably in a technical environment.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work independently in a remote areas and able work on own initiative
  • Results driven, with focus on profit margin
  • Commercial awareness with good analytical skills, particularly around cost of acquisition / profitability and procurement trends
  • E-commerce knowledge / experience
  • Excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Strong planning, forecasting, prioritisation and time management skills
  • IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and experience of using SAP
  • Customer Focused attitude (internal and / or external)
  • Proven track record in building, retaining good relationship with Sothern Taiwan major accounts.
