The Collections Manager will be responsible for managing a team of credit controllers and lead on AR activities so that the team achieves its targets in Cash Collection, Aged Debt & DSO.

One of your key goals will be to make RS a 1st choice for employees and drive a culture of high standards in customer service and a positive growth in employee engagement.

 

What will you be doing?

Alongside your day-to-day management duties in the collections team, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing the debtors’ ledgers on a regular basis.
  • Producing month-end debtors reports with commentary and follow-up actions for review.
  • Generating debtors reports to provide up-to-date information for production of cash forecasts.
  • Work with relevant management teams and maintain good relationships and operate within defined ways of working and legislation.
  • Providing reliable, accurate and up-to-date information of debtor’s balances, and demonstrating visibility of progress to senior managers.

 

What do I need to be successful?

As a collections manager, you will need to have significant experience in a collections role and have good knowledge of the financial regulations and legislation that govern the UK financial markets.

You will also need:

  • Have experience managing teams both in person and remotely.
  • Excellent reporting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to document and communicate both written and verbally.
  • Demonstrable ability working to targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to tale ownership of the managed service process.
  • Demonstrable continuous improvement initiatives
