Supplier Manager, DACH

In the role of Supplier Manager you will be part of the wider Product & Supplier Management organization and will execute the agreed common EMEA strategy on a  DACH level. This includes developing and leveraging local supplier relationships, focusing on the strategic suppliers in first priority, qualifying new suppliers following a request from the sales team or from insight coming from the EMEA team or from a supplier.  Main objectives include achieving targeted profitable growth, customer acquisition, market share growth and ROI. This is achieved through development and execution of supplier business plans to realize the EMEA strategy.

 

Supplier Manager constitutes an important part of the market intelligence of the group EMEA team providing market trends and insights as well as customer needs/insights/feedback. He/she will be part of a virtual regional team to ensure regional alignment and maximization of supplier value extraction supported by procurement and governance.

 

Supplier Manager will be able to visit some customers, however the main task will be to meet suppliers and develop the partnership and relationship in order to become first choice for strategic suppliers.

  • Development and execution of DACH supplier business plans in line with the agreed common EMEA strategy
  • Optimization of Terms and Conditions with our Suppliers
  • Communication across all levels of the suppliers’ organisations
  • Management of supplier expectations in line with our objectives and EMEA strategy
  • Collaboration across the regional product teams and achievement of suppliers KPI’s
  • Development of a marketing plan and ensure its delivered & invoiced
  • Work closely with all important stakeholders across the EMEA RS organization Inventory, Finance, Pricing, Marketing, Digital, Supply Chain, Innovation, HR, technical, Product plus (special procurement)
  • Supplier management including new supplier acquisition following the overall strategy and local market needs
  • Product lifecycle management from new product introduction to discontinuation

 

What you will bring:

 

 

  • Successful track record in supplier management/sales/asset management or related discipline
  • Business planning and execution capability
  • A collaborative team player across a business with fast moving, customer driven markets
  • Ability to work cross functional as well as cross cultural as part of a wider global team
  • Strong commercial acumen and broad communication skills
  • Understanding of marketing, purchasing and inventory control
  • Fluent in German and English
