Shifts, WEEKENDS ONLY

FRIDAY – SUNDAY: 06:00 – 18:00

 

Our maintenance team keeps our distribution centres going and out supervisors lead the team from the front.

 

Working during our all-important weekend hours, you will coordinate the team to ensure that kit is kept up and running and also well maintained for the weekday team.

 

Our goal is to make amazing happen by ensuring our customers get their products when they need them, you will be integral to this.

 

 

What will I be doing?

Your main role as a supervisor will be to keep the line running and ensuring that your team (both employees, temps and contractors) are doing what they need to do to maximise up time and pro-actively complete on-going maintenance.

 

Your other responsibilities will include:

 

  • Agreeing, assign and support maintenance ‘project work’.
  • Delivering an effective resource plan so you can meet the KPI’s required.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety documentation is up-to-date.
  • Ensure the work place is safe and tidy at all times.

As a supervisor you will also need to effectively lead your team, you will do this by:

 

  • Carrying out 1-2-1s and ensure your team is effective and more importantly happy.
  • Support with their training requirements and their development desires.
  • Carry out disciplinary action where necessary.

More than anything it is essential that as the supervisor you will be responsible for the coordination of the team and their safety.

 

 

What do you need to be successful?

As the supervisor you will need to be able to practice what you preach, experience in a technical role as an engineer is essential to be successful.

 

You will also need:

 

  • Experience working in a distribution centre / manufacturing / warehouse.
  • Ability to interpret electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and PLC drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical systems, MHE (Manual Handling Equipment) and detection equipment.
  • Familiarity with KPI’s and budgeting.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
